 Pisa, Centro Congressi Le Benedettine – 12-15 maggio 2025

Siamo lieti di annunciare che la 47ª edizione del Meeting della Sezione Italiana del Combustion Institute (ASICI) si terrà a Pisa dal 12 al 15 maggio 2025, presso il Centro Congressi Le Benedettine dell’Università di Pisa, nel cuore del centro storico cittadino.

La conferenza rappresenta un appuntamento annuale di riferimento per la comunità scientifica italiana attiva nel campo della combustione, promuovendo il dialogo tra ricercatori, tecnologi e ingegneri impegnati sia in ambito accademico che industriale. L’edizione 2025 sarà dedicata al ruolo della combustione nella transizione verso un futuro energetico sostenibile e a basse emissioni di carbonio, con particolare attenzione a combustibili alternativi e tecnologie per la decarbonizzazione.

Il programma includerà sessioni orali parallele, una sessione poster, tavole rotonde con rappresentanti del mondo industriale, keynote lectures da parte di ospiti internazionali, e un evento "Women in Combustion" dedicato al networking tra giovani ricercatrici e scienziate affermate.

• Tecnologie a basse emissioni e combustibili low-carbon

• Cinetica chimica e meccanismi di reazione

• Fiamme laminari e turbolente

• Combustione di spray e fluidi supercritici

• Detonazioni, esplosioni e combustione supersonica

• Combustione di combustibili solidi e rifiuti

• Propulsione e motori

• Sviluppo di materiali carboniosi e formazione di particolato

• Fenomeni multifisici e combustione assistita (plasma, catalisi, ecc.)

Sono previste due tipologie di presentazione:

• Comunicazioni orali (abstract esteso max 3 pagine – entro il 28 aprile)

• Poster Work-in-Progress (abstract 1 pagina – entro il 5 maggio)

Quote di iscrizione:

• Studenti: 300 € (entro il 2 maggio), 350 € (dopo il 2 maggio)

• Partecipanti regolari: 400 € (entro il 2 maggio), 450 € (dopo il 2 maggio)

The Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Pisa is pleased to host the 47th Annual Meeting of the Italian Section of the Combustion Institute (ASICI), which will take place in Pisa from May 12 to 15, 2025 at the Centro Congressi Le Benedettine, a historical venue located in the heart of the city.

This conference represents a key event for the Italian combustion community, offering a platform for scientists, engineers, and professionals from academia and industry to share their latest research and foster collaboration. The 2025 edition will focus on the role of combustion science and technology in the transition toward a low-carbon and sustainable energy future, with an emphasis on innovative fuels and decarbonization strategies.

The technical program will feature parallel oral sessions, a poster session, industrial round tables, and plenary lectures delivered by distinguished international experts. A special “Women in Combustion” networking event will provide a unique opportunity for young researchers and PhD students to engage with leading women in the field.

• Students: €300 (before May 2), €350 (after May 2)

• Regular: €400 (before May 2), €450 (after May 2)

The fee includes access to all technical sessions, conference materials, welcome cocktail, lunches and coffee breaks, guided tour, and social dinner.
